A Special Message From Our Parish Priest
Our Bishop Camillo Ballin, mccj has issued his second pastoral letter about the Church. I encourage all parishioners, families and individual, to get one copy to read and reflect on. Many in our parish do not have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the Church as an institution and as a sacrament of salvation. This pastoral letter contains good and interesting topics to learn help us have a better and much deeper understanding of the meaning of the Church and appreciate its magnificence.
The Church, as a Mother and Teacher to her children, must be the abode of all the faithful in search of the Truth; as well as the haven of peace for all those in trouble, either caused by their personal inadequacies or crises due to other people’s mistakes and shortcomings.
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and everything will be given unto you.” – a very strong message of the Lord from the gospel of Matthew (Mt. 6:33). Our Father in heaven will always provide us what we need in order to live as true children of His. He gave us the Church to be a mother of us all. All we need to do is to be obedient to her teachings and guidance through our Pope, Bishop and priests who have been entrusted to take care of us. Let us obey and love our Mother Church and remain faithful to God.
May the loving and merciful God bless us all and our families.
