Fasting and Abstinence are prescribed for Ash Wednesday and Good Friday,
limited to faithful between the ages of 21 and 60. Abstinence is prescribed as a general rule
for every Friday in Lent, applicable from the age of 14 onwards. However due to the special circumstances in
our Vicariate, abstinence is to be observed on Wednesday in Lent. Out of Devotion, abstinence may be observed
on every Wednesday during the year. |
