On Friday, 12th October at 11.30 am in Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium, Fr. Errol Fernandes will give a talk on Leadership in the Church. Everyone, especially the leaders of the different groups of this parish are welcome.
Mission Sunday will be celebrated on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October. Our Holy Father encourages us to take an active part by praying for the missionaries and extending support through our contributions. The collection made on these days will be sent to the Vatican for Mission works. Envelopes will be distributed after each mass. Please enclose your generous contribution and drop them in the box kept at the entrance of the Sacred Heart Church and the Mother Church.
Those who would like to join the Franciscan Third Order may collect the registration form from the Church Office, complete it and return it to the Church Office.
Following the groundbreaking ceremony of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, we request the assistance of all our parishioners towards the realization of this endeavour. To help us reach our goals, collection boxes have been placed at the main gates of the church and each working individual of the family is requested to show their support by donating a minimum amount of BD2 each month. Thank you for your usual co-operation.
On Friday, 19th October, from 7.45 am to 1 pm the Konkani community of our parish will be organising a Food Festival in the church compound, with Mangalorean and Goan delicacies. The income generated will be used toward the celebration of the Feast of St. Francis Xavier. Please do come and participate.
For the first time, the Sri Lankan Catholic Community is organizing a Sri Lankan Food Festival on Friday, 26th October from 7:45 am to 1 pm in the Church compound. We look forward to your participation. The funds collected will be utilised towards the Cathedral and the needy of the Parish.

On 17th November at the Sacred Heart Church, there will be a one-day programme in English called THE GREATEST CALL, for all the nurses in our parish. We request the participation of ALL NURSES of different communities, for this one-day event. Registration counters will open from next week, in the church compound after all the Obligation Masses. The registration fee will be BD 2/- per person. Details are put up on the poster in the compound. Please contact your community Spiritual Directors for further information.
The second annual Family Day of the Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Visitation in Awali will be held on Friday, 16th November around the church grounds. We urge all parishioners to patronize this annual event and to support with the lucky dip tickets of BD1 each. The proceeds from this event will go to the construction of our new Cathedral.
