The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held on 1st March at 3.45 pm in the Sacred Heart Church.
Ash Wednesday, a day of fast and abstinence, is on 6th March. Ashes will be blessed during the morning mass and distributed at every mass on this day. The timings of the masses on Ash Wednesday are as follows:
- The Mass in English in the morning will be at 5.30 am, 6.15 am, 7.00 am and 9.00 am. The Mass in the evening will be at 5.30 pm and 7.00 pm. All these masses will be held in the Sacred Heart Church.
- For the timings of masses in other languages, please refer to the poster online and the Parish Notice Boards.
- Kindly note that there will be no Novena Service to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour on Ash Wednesday.
Fast and Abstinence is to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday and is limited to individuals between 21 and 60 years of age.
During Lent, The Way of the Cross will be held on Wednesdays at 6.15 pm and on Fridays at 4.15 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. For the weekly schedule of the Way of the Cross, please refer to the Parish Notice Boards.
Lenten Alms Envelopes will be distributed on Ash Wednesday, the proceeds of which will go towards the Campaign against Hunger and Thirst. Please take one envelope per family and return it with your contribution on or before Palm Sunday, and drop it in the boxes labeled Lenten Alms which are kept at the entrance of the Sacred Heart Church and the Mother Church.
In order to prepare the ash for Ash Wednesday, we request you to bring your palms from last year and put them in the box kept at the entrance of the Sacred Heart Church before 3rd March.
We thank Almighty God for His blessing on our Family Day 2019 which was a successful event in our parish. We would like to thank each one of you, dear parishioners, for your support to the parish throughout the year and especially for your participation in the Family Day. A Thanksgiving Mass will be held on Sunday, 3rd March at 7.00 pm in the Sacred Heart Church to thank the Lord for His blessings at all the events in this parish throughout the year. All are welcome.
