The Holy Week services in English will be held at Sacred Heart School, Isa Town.
For those who have difficulty with transport to Isa Town, arrangements have been made for bus services from the Art and Craft Center Bus Stop at Al Zubara Avenue The timings are as follows:
On Holy Thursday, Buses will leave at 6.00 pm, 6.15 pm and 6.30 pm.
On Good Friday, Buses will leave at 4.00 pm, 4.15 pm and 4.30 pm.
On Holy Saturday, Buses will leave at 6.30 pm, 6.45 pm and 7.00 pm
Those coming to Sacred Heart School for the services and have space available in their personal vehicles are requested to kindly pass by the steel gate of the church to accommodate the faithful.
On 18th April, the Maundy Thursday service will commence at 7.00 pm. We will have the Adoration of the Eucharistic Lord at the Altar of Repose immediately after the service. Let us use this time to be with the Lord and reflect on our life as we stay back and spend some time with our Lord Jesus.
19th April is Good Friday, a day of fast and abstinence. The Good Friday Service will begin at 5:00 pm with the Way of the Cross. The collection made on Good Friday will go towards the Holy Land. After the service, the first day of the Novena to Divine Mercy will be prayed. For the timings of the Novena on other days please refer to the Church Notice Board.
On Saturday, 20th April, the Easter Vigil service will begin at 7.30pm.
We will require a lot of white flowers for the festive decoration of the altar for the Easter Vigil service. Donors may bring them by Saturday afternoon to the Sacristy of the main Church.
While coming for the services at Isa Town and Manama, parishioners are requested to park their vehicles properly without hindering traffic on the main road and to avoid traffic congestion.
There will be an offertory procession at the start of the Liturgy at all Easter Sunday masses. Parishioners are encouraged to bring offertory items and join the procession at the start of the mass. These offerings will be distributed to the needy in the parish through Poor of St. Anthony.
21st April is Easter Sunday. The English Masses in the Sacred Heart Church in Manama will be at 7:00 am, 8:30 am, 10:00 am, 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm. For masses in other languages, please refer to the banner put up in the church compound or the Parish website.
Holy water will be distributed in front of the altar after the final blessing. Kindly come in an orderly queue and receive it.
The Feast of Divine Mercy will be celebrated on Sunday, 28th April at the 7.00 pm mass in the Sacred Heart Church.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered by our Nuncio, His Grace Archbishop Francisco M. Padilla on Friday, 3rd May at the 10.15 am mass in the Sacred Heart Church.
Fr Darel Fernandes celebrates his Ordination Day on 27th April. On that day, a Thanksgiving Mass will be offered at 6.30 pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Let us join and pray for his intentions.
The Wedding Anniversary Mass for April celebrants will be held on 27th April at the 6.30 pm mass in the Sacred Heart Church. Celebrants, kindly register your names at the Parish Office before 26th April.
There will be a Marriage Preparation Course on Friday, 24th May at the St. Dominic Savio Hall from 7.30 am to 5.00 pm. For the requirements, please go through the details on the parish notice board.
On Thursday, 2nd May there will be a Malayalam Musical Nite titled “RAGASANDHYA” at Dr. Abdul Kalam Auditorium, Asian School. Tickets are limited and are available in the Church compound and with Fr Saji. The collection generated will go towards the Cathedral.

There will be Holy Mass in Telugu from 26th to 5th May for our Telugu-speaking parishioners by our visiting priest Rev. Fr. Merlin.
