Parish Announcements – 4th, 5th and 6th October 2019

The First Friday Parish Holy Hour will be held on 4th October at 3.45 pm in the Sacred Heart Church.

The Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, founder of the Franciscan Order will be celebrated on 4th October at the 5.00 pm mass in the Sacred Heart Church.

October being the Month of the Rosary, the Rosary will be prayed at the Grotto in the evenings.  For timings, please refer to the Notice Board.

As we are progressing with the construction of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, we remind you of your monthly contribution of BD. 2 from each working member of the family towards this endeavor which can be put in the boxes labelled Cathedral Project which are kept at the entrance of the Sacred Heart Church. May Almighty God bless you and your family for your generosity.

The African Community will be celebrating Africa Day on Thursday, 10th and Friday, 11th October. Events will include a free Musical Concert on Thursday, 10th October in Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium at 7:00 pm, and on Friday, 11th October, from 7:30 am to 12:00 noon, there will be African dances and display of traditional African artifacts, fabrics and foodstuff along with a Lucky Draw with lots of attractive prizes to be won. Lucky Draw tickets are available with different Community Coordinators. Proceeds from this event will go towards the construction of the new Cathedral. Please come and patronize!

The last date for registration for the Gulf Unity Conference is 6th October, We encourage all our parishioners to make use of this opportunity and register their names by Sunday.  For more details, please refer to the Notice Board.

As part of the Sacred Heart Church 80 years Jubilee celebrations, the Sacred Heart Church will be organizing a Sports Festival which will be held on Friday, 18th October at the Sacred Heart School Grounds, Isa Town from 8.00 am onwards. It will include a 6 A-Side Football Tournament for adults as well as children between the ages of 8 to 14. Track and Field events will be held for all ages. There will also be a Tug-O-War which is open to all ages, Ladies Long Throwball and a 4-A-Side fun Cricket Tournament. We invite all Parishioners to be a part of the celebrations by participating in the Sports Festival. For more information, please refer to the Notice Boards. Entry Forms are available at the Parish Office. All entries close by 11th October or whenever the number of entries is filled.

Dear Parishioners, to commemorate the auspicious occasion of the 80th Anniversary celebrations, we will be launching a souvenir in November 2019. We request your support for all the blessings you have received over the years by contributing your family or community photographs. There will be a special booth set up in the church compound where volunteers are ready to accept your photographs and answer any queries you may have.  We kindly request those individuals who have contact details of organizations we can approach to please come forward and give the information to the individuals manning the 80th Anniversary booth. CFC Servants of the Lord and Singles for Christ – A Christian Renewal & Support Ministry for adult males, single fathers, widowers, or married men whose wives are not in Bahrain, will be conducting a Christian Life Program (CLP) from 11th October  to help understand God’s plan and call for them regardless of status or age. Registration forms are available at the Parish Office and from any CFC-Servants of the Lord members. For further details, please refer to the Notice Board.

Catechism Classes in Malayalam for Parish Children from Standards 1-3 will commence on Thursday, 10th October from 6.45 pm until 8.30pm. For further details, please refer to the Catechism Notice Board.
