- The Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be hosting a Bible Quiz “VERBUM 2024” on Friday, 20th December.
- Sacred Heart Catholic Church will host Family Day 2025, titled “LA FAMILIA 2025”, with the theme “Together We Celebrate in Christ” on Thursday, 6th February & Friday, 7th February 2025. We have also launched the Family Day Support Coupon with attractive prizes and is now available at the counter set up in the church courtyard. All proceeds will go towards the renovation and refurbishment of Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium. We look forward to your generous support and prayers to make “LA FAMILIA 2025” a grand success.
- Parishioners between the ages of 35 to 55, who are interested in becoming Extraordinary Ministers for Holy Communion in Sacred Heart Church – Manama, are asked to collect the Registration Form from the Parish Office and return the same, duly filled in, with the supporting documents in due time. This is only for those who are available to serve at the parish masses and not for those who are involved in any other liturgical ministries of the parish. Last date for submission is 31st December.
- Parish Calendars for 2025 are now available at the Parish Office and Religious Gift Corner. The price per calendar is 500 fils.
- For the first time we have printed a Bible Dairy for the Year 2025. It will be available at the Religious Gift Corner and in the Parish Office. The price is BD 5/-. As limited copies are available, kindly patronize.
- On Wednesday, 25th December, a free Christmas Day programme “Home away from Home,” for our parish domestic workers, will be held in Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon and from 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm. There will be entertainment and distribution of Christmas gifts. Parishioners, we invite you all to please support this event by offering cakes, snacks, gifts, telephone cards or cash. Food items may be delivered on the day itself to Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium and gift articles may be hand over to the Parish Office and cash donations can be dropped in the box labeled “Home Away From Home Support” which is kept at the entrance of the church. As Pre-registration is required, all Communities are to collect, from their respective community, the names, contact numbers and CPR numbers of domestic workers, labourers and fishermen who are alone this Christmas and wish to attend this programme. This list is to be handed over to the Parish Office on or before 22nd December. - The Filipino Community will have their Dawn Masses (Simbang Gabi) which runs from 15th to 23rd December from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm and also from 16th to 24th December from 4am to 5am at the Sacred Heart Main Church.
- On Tuesday, 24th December, the Solemn Christmas Service will begin at 7.30 pm at the Sacred Heart School grounds in Isa Town with carol singing. The Solemn Mass will commence at 8.00 pm.
- On Wednesday, 25th December, the Christmas Masses in English will be held at 7.00 am, 8.30 am, 10.00 am, 5.30 pm and 7.00 pm at the Sacred Heart Church. For masses in other languages and for the New Year Mass Schedule, please refer to the Parish Notice Board or the Banner in the courtyard.
- Parishioners interested in supporting by way of cash for the Christmas celebration at Isa Town and Manama may give their Christmas donation to the Parish Office.
- We have made arrangements for buses to take parishioners for the night service from Manama to Sacred Heart School, Isa Town and back again to Manama. The buses will leave from the Arts and Craft Center, Al Zubara Avenue at 5.30 pm, 6.00 pm and 6.30 pm.
- Those going for the Christmas service at Isa Town and have place in their vehicles are requested to pass by the Arts and Crafts Center to give a lift to parishioners going for the services. Vehicles may also be parked at the Indian School grounds, Isa Town. Parishioners, when you come for the services at Isa Town and Manama, please park properly to avoid hindering the flow of traffic.
- The Christmas Celebration Mass for Catechism Children will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 8.45 am on Friday, 13th December, followed by Carol Singing by the Catechism Children Choir at the outdoor stage. The usual English Obligation Mass at 8.45 am will be held at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.
- The Malayalam community will celebrate the Feast of St. Sebastian on Thursday, 26th and Friday, 27th December at the Sacred Heart School in Isa Town. The flag will be hoisted on Thursday at 6.30 pm followed by the Holy Mass and cultural events. The main Feast celebrations on Friday will begin at 8.30 am with the procession of the arrow followed by the Holy Mass and Festal Agape. The Malayalam community cordially invites all the faithful to participate and receive the blessings.
- The Wedding Anniversary Mass for December celebrants will be held on Saturday, 28th December at 6.30 pm. During the mass, celebrants must occupy the pews reserved. Registration along with a fee of BD.1 is required and celebrants must be present at Mass to receive the Certificate. Last date to sign up is Friday, 27th December.
- In celebration of the Bahrain National Day, the Filipino Community will have their annual Holy Walk For A Cause with the theme “Walk by Faith, Lead with Charity,” with Zumba dance exercise and a medical check-up at Arad Park on Monday, 16th December from 6am onwards. The registration fee is BD4 with free T-shirt and snacks. T-shirts are available before and after the obligation masses. The proceeds of this fundraising activity are for the medical assistance of our Filipino brothers and sisters who are in need. You can pay in cash or through BenefitPay. - Parishioners are invited to make their confessions while the priests are available in the confessionals.
- As part of the Parish Youth formation, a desk has been set up in the church courtyard. People in the age group of 16 to 35 are encouraged to register their names and be a part of the Parish Youth of Sacred Heart Church.
